English Teachers – Mansfield, Nottinghamshire

TP Tutors is seeking passionate and committed English Teachers to provide high-quality, personalised tuition in Mansfield and the wider Nottinghamshire area. This role is perfect for teachers who want to make a real difference, helping students to strengthen their literacy skills and grow in confidence.

The Role

You will deliver tailored English tuition outside the traditional classroom, working with learners either at home or in community-based settings. Sessions may focus on reading, writing, comprehension, communication skills, or GCSE preparation, depending on the needs of each student.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English tuition on a 1:1 or small-group basis

• Adapt lessons to suit a range of learning styles and abilities

• Break down challenging topics to build confidence and understanding

• Provide constructive feedback to track learner progress

• Maintain safeguarding and child protection standards

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum (KS2–KS4, ideally GCSE)

• Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH learners

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Patient, empathetic, and flexible teaching style

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Up-to-date safeguarding training
