Job description

Are you a qualified English graduate looking to utilise your expertise to support young people within their English lessons? Do you have a passion for working with students who are disengaged from learning and find English a challenging subject?

A number of schools across the Oldham LEA have expressed a need for enthusiastic English specialists to work within the English department. By working as support assistant within English, you will support students from Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four in their understanding and confidence of English.

You will deliver targeted interventions to small groups of low ability students to build upon basic skills and knowledge. You will also work along side the class teacher to ensure pupils are making progress within the English department.

This position is fantastic to enhance future Secondary English PGCE applications.
