Job Title: English and Maths Tutor
Location:
England, Greater London, Merton
Salary:
£20 - £30 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised tutoring in English and Maths, either one-on-one or in small groups.
- Create customised lesson plans based on individual student's needs.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student's progress.
- Utilise diverse teaching strategies to engage students and enhance learning.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant qualification
- Experience in teaching English and Maths
- Knowledge of SEN education
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Thorough understanding of the English and Maths curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively work with students with SEN
- Patience and empathy towards students
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in SEN education
- Experience using assistive technology for teaching
Working Conditions:
This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis. The tutor will need to travel to the student's location or provide online tutoring services. Flexibility in working hours may be required based on student's availability.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
