Agency Bank Educational Healthcare Assistant – SEN School

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking experienced Educational Healthcare Assistants to join our agency team, providing flexible cover in a welcoming and inclusive SEN school environment.

About the Role:

As an Educational Healthcare Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to help students reach their full potential. You will support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and complex medical or emotional needs.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support in lessons and therapeutic sessions

  • Assisting with personal care and mobility where required

  • Implementing behaviour and communication strategies

  • Supporting students’ emotional wellbeing and social development

  • Working collaboratively with school staff and families to provide consistent, high-quality care

About You:

  • Passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives

  • Calm, patient, and empathetic under pressure

  • Experienced in working within SEN, education, or healthcare settings (preferred)

  • Confident supporting children with personal care and medical needs

  • Flexible and reliable, with a positive, team-focused attitude

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Relevant experience in SEN, education, or care

  • Training in manual handling, first aid, or medication administration (desirable but not essential)
