Early Years Teacher role- September start
In order to be considered for this role you must hold the following as a necessity;
QTS in Primary Education or in Early Years.
Experience in working alongside children in a Primary or Nursery setting and have the confidence to talk about how you work in the classroom and the progress your children have made.
Have at least two education based references from your most recent employer(s) which are GOOD or OUTSTANDING.
The Headteacher of a reputable school in Blackpool is looking to recruit a dynamic Teacher who with a genuine passion for teaching pupils in Early Years. In order to be considered, you must also be available to take up a full time teaching role from the first week in September 2019. You must be able to commit to the full maternity cover which is expected to be between 9-12 months. You will be given time to plan during allocated PPA time in the week, contributing towards 10% of the working timetable. The School are also considering Newly Qualified Teachers who are welcome to apply, in doing so they are happy to contribute to NQT release time which will again contribute to 10% of the working timetable.
The School:
The School is an average sized Primary serving a mixed catchment area of mainly white British heritage children. The children tend to arrive from challenging backgrounds and so the entry level is lower than National Average particularly for Maths, Reading and Writing. The School do have a strong and consistent behaviour policy which is used effectively to ensure all the children work to their potential and no disruptive behaviour can affect this. The School currently holds a GOOD Ofsted grading across all areas; and OUTSTANDING for Leadership. This makes for a welcoming environment to any newcomer to the School. There is a genuine excitement around the School as they are now pushing for OUTSTANDING status.
The Role:
The Head teacher is seeking to employ a temporary EYFS trained and experienced practitioner who can effectively build good working relationships with staff, children and their parents; raise standards in academic ability as well as social and communication skills; contribute to the wider School Community by leading an after school club and attending INSETs and staff meetings. This will be a full teaching role where you will be expected to plan, deliver and assess for all the children in your class and also partake in parents evening and pupil progress meetings. You must be committed not only to the role but also to be treated as a member of full time/permanent staff. You will have your books and planning scrutinised and lessons will be observed.
