A diverse, vibrant secondary school in the Bramhall area of Stockport are seeking a proactive and passionate individual to join their team of dedicated Teaching Assistants starting in October. This is a full-time post working 8:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday, this is a great opportunity for a recent graduate looking to build their experience before going for a teaching qualification.
- Earn £385 - £485 per week (dependant on relevant qualifications & experience).
- Access to a number of FREE CPD courses.
- Hiring multiple applicants.
- Immediate start, placement until Christmas initially but is likely to extend to July 2024.
The school in question is situated in the affluent Bramhall area, the school are consistently seeking new ways to raise the bar for their pupils attainment and future opportunities. They have recently taken on a new Headteacher and the initial feedback has been excellent, the changes he and the Senior Leadership Team have changed has improved the school dramatically.
This role will consist of general classroom support, working closely with the Teacher to ensure every pupil is engaged and has the necessary aid as and when it is needed. You will also work with students with SEN, these children could have a range of additional needs such as Autism, ADD or Dyslexia to name just a small number of examples. All training needed to support these students will be provided by the school.
Main responsibilities:
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
- Encourage pupils to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all pupils in activities.
- Promote independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward achievement of self reliance.
- Give regular feedback on children’s progress to the class teacher and file records.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
