Teaching Personnel are working exclusively with a school based in Southampton (Millbrook). The school are committed to providing a rounded and rich educational experience for all students and believe that every student is entitled to high levels of individual achievement, care and support.

The school are looking to recruit a Design Technology Teacher (Resistant Martials) for September 2019 that can upheld the outstanding expectations of the department and deliver quality education to KS3 and KS4.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • You must be able to confidently plan and deliver lessons to GCSE Students.
  • To be able to adapt your teaching skills to suit each pupil needs.
  • You will be a good team player with good behaviour management skills.
  • Be able and willing to take general cover lessons when needed.
  • Plan, deliver and mark lessons.
  • Attended extra curricular activities such as: Parents Evenings, Revision Sessions and DT Club.
  • The candidate must respect the schools values and Ethos.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Candidates must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS,QTLS or NQT). The school would consider an experienced Cover supervisor with relevant experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching KS3, KS4 DT.
  • Safeguarding awareness qualification (completed by Teaching Personnel).
  • Be able to have the ability to adapt to students needs.
  • Desirable to be familiar with SIMs.
