Teaching Personnel are seeking a Design Technology Teacher to join a Secondary school in Newport. This position is a long term vacancy which will initially be until Easter, but is likely to be for the rest of the academic year if the successful applicant is getting on well within the department.
About the Role:
- Full time position
- January 2021 start
- GBP500 -GBP695 weekly pay
This Design Technology Teacher position will teach a variable timetable of both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 class groups. The school is looking for a dedicated candidate that has experience teaching engineering and construction, to plan and deliver lessons that engage and challenge all learners. The department is equipped with modern tools/resources as well as ICT based packages that allow a range of teaching methods to be used. Teachers of all experience levels will be considered for the role, including NQTs.
To be considered for this Design Technology Teacher role you should have:
- Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).
- The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.
- Strong subject knowledge of the Design Technology curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
