Design and Technology Teacher – Wigan
Design and Technology Teacher required for a full-time teaching position within a client secondary school that is located on the outskirts of Wigan.
The school aim to appoint a Design and Technology Teacher to start in January 2020 and are offering a temporary contract until the end of the academic year with an opportunity to earn a permanent contract beyond this initial temporary period.
- Full-time Design and Technology teacher.
- Timetable split of Graphics and Textiles, KS3 –GCSE.
- Pay in line with MPS/UPS - GBP24,373 - GBP40,490.
- Newly Qualified Teachers are encouraged to apply for this role.
- Teacher required from January 2020.
- Opportunity to earn a permanent contract.
This is an exciting position where the incoming teacher will have progression opportunities within the school. (Permanent contract and departmental lead opportunities available in the future.)
The school will require a teacher to join there Technology department from January and are looking to appoint an experienced teacher who can confidently teach Graphics and Resistant Materials. The incoming teacher have excellent knowledge of the subject and a track record of excellent results at GCSE level. It is crucial that the incoming teacher is able to deliver engaging and well planned lessons in order to create subject enthusiasm within the school.
This secondary school can be found close on the outskirts of Wigan, making it accessible from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Chorley and Preston. It is well respected within the local community and has been commended for the achievement and behaviour of their pupils. The school also achieved a progress 8 score that is way above the national average.
