Our long-term positions allow you to become a familiar and trusted member of a school team, build strong relationships with pupils and see the progress you help them achieve. Some opportunities can develop into permanent positions, or alternatively a permanent position from the start, whichever suits you best 

Want to build your SEN experience?
Many of our roles involve supporting children with additional needs, giving you the opportunity to develop your understanding of SEN and gain valuable experience with different support strategies and approaches.

About the Role

As an LSA, you'll play an important role in helping children access education, develop their independence and reach their potential.

You may provide one-to-one or small-group support, working alongside class teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to ensure pupils receive the support they need.

Depending on the setting, you may support children with:

• Autism (ASC)
• ADHD
• SEMH
• Speech and language needs
• Moderate and severe learning difficulties
• Physical disabilities
• Other additional and complex needs

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support
• Supporting pupils with additional needs
• Helping children access and engage with learning
• Supporting targets outlined within pupils' EHCPs
• Adapting activities to meet individual needs

• Experience working with children or young people
• Experience within education, care, support or youth work
• Experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs
• A patient, resilient and compassionate approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build strong relationships with children
• A genuine passion for supporting children's development

Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential. Your attitude, experience, reliability and willingness to learn are just as important.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
