Teaching Personnel’s Kent Primary Team is looking for Teaching Assistants who want to get stuck into school life and make a genuine difference in the classroom.

We’re working with a number of primary schools across Maidstone and the surrounding areas, with opportunities available for experienced TAs, graduates, childcare professionals and those looking to take their first step into education.

What could your day look like?

No two school days are quite the same. Depending on the role, you could be:

• Supporting pupils across the classroom alongside the class teacher

• Working with small groups to reinforce learning

• Providing 1:1 support for pupils who need additional guidance

• Helping pupils with SEND, including autism, ADHD and communication needs

• Supporting phonics, reading, writing and maths activities

• Helping create a calm, positive and inclusive classroom

• Getting involved in the wider day-to-day life of a primary school

Who are we looking for?

You don’t necessarily need to have worked as a Teaching Assistant before. We’re interested in people who are reliable, patient and confident working with children, whether your experience comes from:

• Previous school or TA work

• Nursery or childcare settings

• Tutoring or mentoring

• Youth work or sports coaching

• SEND support

• Voluntary or community work

• A degree or career background that has given you transferable skills

What matters most is that you’re someone who enjoys being around children, can build positive relationships and is ready to get involved.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
