Cover Teacher – Secondary Schools (Wigan)
Flexible Working | £120–£150 per day | Good & Outstanding Schools
Are you confident leading a classroom and looking for flexible, rewarding work across Wigan?
We’re currently recruiting Cover Teachers to work across a range of Good and Outstanding-rated secondary schools in the Wigan area. This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified teachers, instructors, or experienced cover supervisors who enjoy variety and want to build strong relationships across local schools.
Whether you’re looking for short-term supply, regular part-time work, or long-term placements, we want to hear from you.
The Role:

Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of the regular class teacher

Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
-
Uphold school policies, manage behaviour effectively, and support student learning
-
Adapt quickly to different settings and build rapport with staff and pupils
Ideal Candidate:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant experience delivering lessons in a secondary setting
-
Confident, professional, and adaptable with strong classroom management skills
-
Reliable and enthusiastic, with a proactive attitude to stepping into different subjects and schools
-
Suitable for experienced teachers, early career teachers, or strong cover supervisors looking to progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
