Cover Supervisors needed for Secondary School based in Sheffield paying up to £65 per day

You will be working as a Cover Supervisor for a market leader that has exclusive partnerships with Secondary Schools across South Yorkshire and Chesterfield. Due to an increase in demand from schools in your local area a number of opportunities have arisen. These Cover Supervision opportunities are on a permanent, long-term or daily supply cover basis and starting immediately.

As a Cover Supervisor you will have the opportunity to work in a role that is flexible around your needs. Working for Teaching Personnel will enable you to work on a full time or part time basis to suit your commitments.

Working as a cover supervisor can be very demanding but equally rewarding. Your main job will be to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task in completing the work they have been set by an absent teacher.

Your role and responsibilities as a cover supervisor will also include:

  • Effective communication of the work set by the absent teacher to students
  • Managing the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking set work
  • Responding to any questions from pupils
  • Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies which may arise
  • Reporting back as appropriate

To be considered for the role of Cover Supervisor you are required to:

  • Experience working with secondary aged children (although this is not essential, as training can be given).
  • The ability to manage groups of children and cope with challenging behaviour
  • The ability to build good relationships.

To aid your ongoing success within this role it is desirable that you are:

  • Highly adaptable
  • Confident, organised and at time, diplomatic
  • Patient and creative, with a good sense of humour
