Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit enthusiastic graduates and aspiring secondary school teachers to become a Cover Supervisor on a flexible day to day from September!
What is a Cover Supervisor?
- Unqualified teaching!
- Experience managing a class of students in the absence of class teachers.
- Taking a class registration.
- Providing pupils with the pre-set from the school and ensuring they remain on task with this in line with the school's policies and procedures.
- Collecting completed work and resources after the lesson and returning them to the appropriate teacher.
- Great way to gain first hand experience prior to enrolling on to a PGCE/teacher training
How does it work?
- Flexible day to day lesson cover when teachers are absent due to sickness or training.
- Short notice supply work - Usually a call on the morning once schools have informed us.
- Starting September
- Earn a daily rate of £80+ (approx. 8:30am - 3pm)
- Work around your own availability! e.g. 1-5 days a week (great for students and graduates)
- Great way to be introduced to a number of secondary schools across Cornwall
Applicant requirements:
- Previous experience with young very desirable but not essential (e.g. tutoring, teaching assistant, youth work, support work)
- Be passionate about supporting the learning of young people
- Hold a degree or be in the process of completing a degree
