Cover Supervisors needed in Bude Area

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit enthusiastic graduates and aspiring secondary school teachers to become a Cover Supervisor on a flexible day to day from September!

What is a Cover Supervisor?

  • Unqualified teaching!
  • Experience managing a class of students in the absence of class teachers.
  • Taking a class registration.
  • Providing pupils with the pre-set from the school and ensuring they remain on task with this in line with the school's policies and procedures.
  • Collecting completed work and resources after the lesson and returning them to the appropriate teacher.
  • Great way to gain first hand experience prior to enrolling on to a PGCE/teacher training

How does it work?

  • Flexible day to day lesson cover when teachers are absent due to sickness or training.
  • Short notice supply work - Usually a call on the morning once schools have informed us.
  • Starting September
  • Earn a daily rate of ÂŁ80+ (approx. 8:30am - 3pm)
  • Work around your own availability! e.g. 1-5 days a week (great for students and graduates)
  • Great way to be introduced to a number of secondary schools across Cornwall

Applicant requirements:

  • Previous experience with young very desirable but not essential (e.g. tutoring, teaching assistant, youth work, support work)
  • Be passionate about supporting the learning of young people
  • Hold a degree or be in the process of completing a degree
