Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants Required – Immediate Start Available
SEN Secondary School | Redhill / Chaldon Area

A welcoming and well-established SEN secondary school in the Redhill/Chaldon area is seeking experienced and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join their supportive team on a full-time basis, with immediate starts available.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday | 8:15am – 4:45pm

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist setting that supports young people with a range of additional needs. The Role

  • Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs

  • Assisting students to access learning and engage positively in classroom activities

  • Supporting the development of communication, social skills, independence, and confidence

  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and wider support staff

  • Helping to maintain a structured, safe, and inclusive learning environment

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting students' emotional wellbeing throughout the school day

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role (essential)

  • Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, or communication difficulties

  • A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting learners

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their full potential
