Specialist Teaching Assistant – SEN School

Tadworth
9:00am – 5:00pm
48-Week Contract | Immediate & September Starts Available

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting children and young people with complex additional needs?

We're recruiting Specialist Teaching Assistants to join a highly respected SEN school in Tadworth, supporting pupils aged 2–19 with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), acquired brain injuries, brain tumours and complex medical needs.

The Role:

  • Support pupils with PMLD and a wide range of complex physical, medical and learning needs.
  • Assist with personal care, mobility and daily living activities where required.
  • Encourage communication, engagement and independence through tailored support.
  • Work alongside teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals to deliver individual learning programmes.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.
  • Support pupils across both classroom activities and wider school life.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with PMLD or complex SEN.
  • Confident providing personal care and supporting pupils with physical and medical needs.
  • Classroom-based SEN experience is highly desirable.
  • A calm, patient and compassionate approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
