Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm | Full-Time

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing specialist school?

A welcoming and ambitious SEN school in Walton-on-Thames is expanding this September with the opening of its brand-new Primary provision, alongside its established Secondary school. They are looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team and support pupils across both phases.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school at an exciting stage of its development, helping to shape a positive, inclusive learning environment for children and young people with Special Educational Needs.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.

  • Assist students in accessing learning and achieving their individual goals.

  • Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and independence.

  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team.

  • Promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN in a school setting (essential).

  • Experience working with needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH or Moderate Learning Difficulties is highly desirable.

  • A patient, resilient and adaptable approach.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Relevant training such as Team Teach, Thrive, Makaton, PECS or Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) would be advantageous.

  • A genuine passion for helping children and young people reach their full potential.
