SEN Teaching Assistant – Specialist SEN School

Addlestone
Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm | Full-Time
Immediate & September Starts Available

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to young people’s lives?

We’re working with a friendly and supportive specialist SEN school in Addlestone that is looking for passionate and committed Teaching Assistants to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support throughout the school day.

  • Support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs.

  • Encourage positive behaviour, independence, confidence and social development.

  • Support pupils with their individual learning and EHCP targets.

  • Adapt activities and provide practical support based on individual needs.

  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEN team.

  • Help create a safe, positive and engaging environment for all pupils.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working in an SEN school or similar setting is essential.

  • Experience supporting children with a range of additional needs.

  • A patient, resilient and proactive approach.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Team Teach training is beneficial but not essential.

  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
