Cover Supervisor

Gain invaluable experience within a small secondary school prior to your Teacher Training in September 2020.

Two Cover Supervisors are needed to join a close knit secondary school in February until July.


We can offer training and support to candidates with limited to no experience; however experience of working with young people is desired. You will be required to support secondary learners in the absence of the class teacher. You will need to be confident and have charisma to independently manage behaviour within the classroom.

This role will be on an ad hoc basis initially with the option for ongoing and regular work in the future. The school offers an excellent standard of training and mentoring.

This school prides itself on its high expectations for all students, and uses a House system and leads regular reward trips to motivate pupils. The school site is modern and well-equipped over 7 acres of land, with particularly generous facilities for sports, Science and DT. It's located close to the M65 and has easy access via public transport with a train station nearby.

The ideal Cover Supervisor will:

• Hold a Degree, or be working towards completing their Degree
• Be happy to undertake our Cover Supervisor course
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be well organised
• Be extremely reliable
• Have a passion for Education and supporting the younger generation
• Use your own initiative
• Be adaptable and flexible
