Are you confident, resilient and willing to learn and develop?
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large mixed comprehensive Secondary school in the Oldham LEA to appoint a team of Graduate Cover Supervisors this academic year, to join the Cover team with immediate effect.
What is a Cover Supervisor?
The role of the Cover Supervisor includes:
- Covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher with pre-set work
- Working with identified pupils within your subject specialism to raise attainment and improve knowledge
- Supporting the class teacher with delivering work to pupils
- Managing behaviour in line with school policies and procedures
- Building classroom management skills in preparation for a future teacher training programme
The school wish to appoint a team of Graduate Cover Supervisors on both a full time and part time basis to support with absence and pre-planned cover requirements across all subjects with immediate effect. During periods where cover requirements are low, the successful Graduate Cover Supervisors will provide subject specific support and work with identified pupils across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four.
*This position is ideal for any Graduate wishing to pursue a career in teaching in the future, experience is desired but not essential to be considered for this position.*
Our partner Secondary school is larger than average with approximately 1400 pupils on roll. The school is spacious with two building on site and numerous facilities available for sports and extra curricular activities.
Located towards the east of Oldham town centre, our partner Secondary school can be accessed via the A670 and M60 motorway. For non drivers, there are a number of public transportation links that lead directly to the school from neighbouring areas Rochdale, central Oldham and Tameside.
