Cover Supervisor - Wigan

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with Secondary schools in the Wigan LEA to support with the recruitment of a team of Cover Supervisors. After receiving a high influx of Cover Supervisor bookings at this early time of year from a number of our key client Secondary schools in the Wigan LEA, there are immediate requirements for full time and part time Cover Supervisors.

Cover Supervisor;

  • Full time and part time Cover Supervisor positions available
  • Opportunity to earn up to £1300 per month
  • No planning and marking responsibilities
  • Supportive Secondary schools with regular access to CPD training
  • Immediate working opportunities available
  • Previous experience working in a Secondary school setting is preferred but not essential.

We will be able to provide you with immediate work that can be tailored around your availability this academic year within a number of supportive Secondary schools in the Wigan LEA.

As a Cover Supervisor working within our client Secondary schools, no day will be the same and it is essential that you are able to adapt quickly to new scenarios. this Cover Supervisor position will require you to deliver lessons that have been pre planned by the absent class teacher to students aged 11-16. It is essential that you are able to manage the behaviour of large groups of students and deliver lessons in a confident and engaging manner.

This role is perfect for anyone who has experience working alongside students in a coaching or tutoring capacity, has experience working as a Cover Supervisor or a Teaching Assistant or for teachers who are looking to work within a Secondary school without the usual responsibilities that are involved with teaching.

Whilst working for Teaching Personnel you will have access to regular CPD training sessions and specialist schemes such as 'Future Teachers' and 'Cover Supervisor Induction' that are ran through a number of our partner schools.
