Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Cover Supervisor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising students in the absence of their regular teachers, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.

Job Duties:

  • Supervising students in classrooms during teacher absences
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring students stay on task
  • Assisting with the preparation of learning materials
  • Reporting back on student behaviour and progress to teaching staff

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Mathematics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and engage with students effectively

Education:

A minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Mathematics

Experience:

Prior experience working with children or young people is advantageous

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Good organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant
  • Additional qualifications in education or child development
