Are you a recent graduate looking to pursue a career in the education sector?

Are you looking to build on your experience of working within a secondary school setting where you will gain support and opportunity to earn money whilst gaining invaluable experience in a secondary school in the south Manchester area?

Our client secondary schools situated in Trafford and Stockport are looking for confident graduates who are keen to work within a secondary school environment as a Cover Supervisor. The successful individual should be motivated and confident in their approach, able to command a classroom of students between the ages of 11 and 16.

Individuals with prior experience of working within school settings would be highly suitable for this role but this is not essential. Those who have experience of working with pupils between the ages of 11 and 16 are encouraged to apply. This is a great opportunity for a graduate to test out their suitability to work in a classroom and gain experience for a potential future career as a teacher.

  • Pay ranging between £77 - £85 per day depending on experience (based on a 6.5 hour working day)
  • Earn money whilst gaining invaluable experience covering full classes
  • Delivery pre-planned work in the absence of a class teacher
  • Ideal for a prospective teacher of the future

The cover supervisory role involves delivering pre-set work to students in the absence of the main classroom teacher. The successful individual should therefore have the ability to engage with students and be flexible in their approach. The successful graduate will also have the opportunity to undertake CPD courses to further their own experience and learning towards being a future teacher.

  • Work in a secondary school in the South Manchester area
  • Easily accessible for any potential cover supervisors from the centre of Manchester or Trafford or Stockport
  • Work in a school environment which is highly supportive of cover supervisors and regularly asks for the same candidates back by name
