Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting staff to work as a secondary school cover supervisor within the New Forest area. As a cover supervisor your role and responsibilities will include:

  • Covering lessons in absence of a timetabled teacher across the curriculum
  • Supervising all of the cover work across the school by communicating to the cover teachers what set work the students will need to complete
  • Ensuring the required resources and equipment needed for the lesson are effectively delivered
  • Providing assistance to the regular teaching staff within lessons
  • Managing the behaviour of pupils whilst the students are under going work within lessons

This school has a very caring culture combined with the schools high quality teaching and learning, alongside the vast array of extra-curricular opportunities, enabling students to reach there fully potential. Experience working with secondary schools or with secondary school children is a not a requirement but you will need to demonstrate: good behaviour management skills, an ability to build good relationships with children, teachers and partners of the school and with good numeracy, writing and literacy skills.

Experience working as a cover supervisor  is  desirable for but no a requirement and candidates looking to start there career in teaching are also welcome to apply. If you would like to find out more about this role and the work that we offer, please email your CV to the details below.

  • Pay between GBP60-80 per day depending on experience and qualifications

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
