Cover Supervisor – Secondary School – Hampshire – September 2025 Start

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate, experienced Learning Support Assistant, or someone looking to step into a rewarding role in secondary education.

A popular and high-achieving secondary school in Hampshire is seeking to appoint a confident, motivated Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2025. This is a term-time only role offered on a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with both full-time (32.5 hours) and part-time options available.


The Role:

  • Supervise full classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
  • Ensure students remain on task with pre-set work and uphold the school’s behaviour expectations
  • Support students in their learning and progress during lessons
  • Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment
  • Provide general classroom support as required

What You’ll Need:

  • A good level of education (minimum GCSE grade A*-C or 9-4 in English and Maths or equivalent)
  • A positive, proactive attitude and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to manage groups of students confidently and calmly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A degree or relevant qualification is desirable but not essential

 Location: Hampshire (within easy access from the M3 – great for commuting)
 Contract: Full-time (32.5 hours) or part-time, term-time only, 12-month fixed term
 Start Date: September 2025
 Eligibility: UK-based applicants with right to work; this role does not offer sponsorship
