Secondary schools across Portsmouth are currently seeking Graduate Cover Supervisors to join their teams and provide essential classroom support during teacher absences. As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining learning continuity when regular teachers are unavailable. Rather than delivering new content, your main focus will be supervising classes across various subjects and year groups using pre-set lesson plans. You’ll help keep students on task, manage behaviour in line with school policies, support pupils when needed, and feedback to teaching staff on the lessons delivered. While you're not expected to teach traditionally, your presence will help ensure a positive and productive learning environment.

This position is ideal for graduates exploring a career in teaching or education more broadly. It offers valuable exposure to the secondary school environment, helping you develop strong communication, classroom management, and organisational skills.
