Job description

Teaching Personnel are working closely with secondary schools in Fleet who are seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to start from January 2026.

This role is ideal for graduates and unqualified teachers who are considering a career in education or looking to gain valuable classroom experience before teacher training. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during teacher absence and ensuring pupils remain engaged with pre-set work.

You will work across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting students of varying abilities while developing your own classroom management and behaviour strategies in a real school setting.


The Role of a Cover Supervisor:

  • Deliver and supervise pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Encourage student engagement and participation
  • Support pupils with their work and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons
