An Ofsted rated overall “Good” Secondary School with “Outstanding” in Behaviour and Personal Development is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and motivated Cover Supervisor to be a part of their team!

This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are keen to gain valuable classroom experience or are considering a future career in teaching.

 

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes of students aged 11-16 during teacher absences, ensuring learning continues smoothly and effectively. You will deliver pre-prepared lesson materials, manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies, and maintain a positive and focused learning environment. The position may also involve providing additional support to students with special educational needs (SEN) when required.

This school delivers a full secondary curriculum designed to be ambitious from the outset, with a clear expectation that almost all pupils study EBacc subjects. Inspectors have noted clear explanations, appropriate resourcing, and a developing in‑house subject expertise.

 

Who We Are Looking For

  • Ideally have previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils, including exposure to SEN
  • Confident and adaptable in a classroom setting
  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Have a genuine enthusiasm for supporting young people and contributing to their educational development

 

Working Hours / Benefits

This is a flexible position, with full-time and part-time opportunities available and an immediate start, offering competitive daily pay between £95 and £130.
