Cover Supervisor – Andover – Immediate Start

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Andover, with opportunities available to start ASAP. This is the perfect role if you’re exploring teaching as a future career, looking for flexible term‑time work, or keen to build experience within a school setting.


The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre‑planned lessons across Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Maintain a calm and effective learning environment
  • Support classroom behaviour in line with school expectations
  • Supervise classes across a range of subjects
  • Provide additional support to students with special educational needs or additional needs
  • Build strong relationships and encourage positive engagement

This role provides an excellent introduction to school life and is a valuable stepping‑stone into teacher training or long‑term education pathways.


The Ideal Candidate

We would love to hear from individuals who have:

  • Experience working with secondary‑aged students (tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work, childcare etc.)
  • Confidence managing groups and adapting to different subjects
  • The ability to support students with SEN / additional needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, resilient and enthusiastic approach
  • A genuine passion for helping young people succeed

Perfect for graduates from any discipline — no teaching qualification required.
