A large primary school in North Manchester have come to Teaching Personnel in search of a core subject graduate to start as soon as possible for the remainder of the academic year within KS1. As part of the role you will be expected to take small intervention groups and deliver pre-planned work to the group of mixed ability pupils. This will require confidence as well as a good understanding of behaviour management. The school is a good school with a strong staff team and a good mix of experience throughout the Teaching Assistant team. As this is a two form entry school there is a high number of staff and each class currently have a general Teaching assistant within it as well as certain classes having Teaching Assistants providing 1:1 support. The reason the school are looking for a core subject graduate is to ensure progression is made throughout KS1 but also so there is a real specialist within the certain subjects to be able to get the most out of the pupils.
