Have you got experience working with students with challenging behaviour?

Are you looking to gain experience working in a school setting with pupils aged 11- 19?

We are currently recruiting for a behaviour support Teaching Assistant in a Secondary School behaviour Unit. The role is supporting individuals with challenging behaviour who may need extra support in order to break down barriers to learning and prevent them from becoming at risk of exclusion.

- Pay Rates: Between £50-£60 per day

- Pupils needing 1:1 support or support in small groups

- Working with challenging behaviour and those at risk of exclusion

The successful behavioural teaching assistant:

- Educated to Degree level is preferred but not essential.

- Act as a mentor and support function to the pupils.

-Use of a car is desirable but the school is accessible via public transport

- Work closely with the SENCO within the school

- Show the initiative to deal with tough situations that may arise throughout the school day

-Be a support function both academically and socially

If you are a youth worker or teaching assistant interested in this post you will need to be eligible for a fully enhanced DBS and have suitable references. The school are looking to see candidates for interviews and trials so you will need to be able to attend these.
