Full-time Business Studies teacher

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a small Secondary school in Salford who is currently looking for a Business Studies teacher to join their department in January 2020.

Due to a last minute staffing change within the Business Studies department, our client school are currently looking for a passionate and dynamic teacher. The successful candidate will be expected to plan, prepare and deliver Business Studies lessons alongside teaching a full time table across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will also be expected to set and mark both suitable classwork and homework.

• Full-time Business Studies teacher position available.
• January 2020 start.
• Supporting pupils varying in age (11-16) and learning abilities.
• Working alongside senior members of the Business Studies department to plan timetables and lesson plans.
• Supporting with extra-curricular activities and lunch time supervision.
• Both newly qualified and experienced Business Studies teachers are urged to apply.
• Pay in line with scale point NQT-UPS (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490).

In order to apply for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Must have QTS and a subject specialism in Business Studies.
• Must have experience teaching Business Studies up to GCSE level.

Working as a Business Studies teacher in our client secondary school will involve:

• Taking on full planning and marking responsibility alongside teaching a full timetable up to GCSE level.
• Work alongside other members of the Science department in order to plan, prepare and deliver lessons that are suitable for pupils at varying levels of learning ability.
• Monitoring and assessing pupils progress in order to take appropriate action where required to ensure all pupils have the correct they require.

Our client school is located in Salford, close by to Eccles, and is easily accessible via the M60 and A57 from areas surrounding Salford such as Worsley, Stretford and Bolton. For candidates who do not drive, our client school can be accessed via several public transport links from surrounding areas of Greater Manchester.
