Biology Teacher

We’re seeking a committed and enthusiastic Biology Teacher who shares the vision for growth, improvement, and student inspiration. This is a vital role within this school offering the chance to engage and motivate learners across a dynamic and ever-evolving curriculum. We welcome applications from both Early Career Teachers and experienced educators.
This is for KS4 and KS5 only.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons aligned with GCSE and A Level specifications.
- Differentiate teaching to support all learners, including those with SEND or EAL.
- Prepare students for exams through assessments, feedback, and targeted revision.
- Promote practical science skills through safe and effective lab work.
- Track and report on student progress, using data to inform teaching.
- Provide pastoral support as a tutor and communicate regularly with parents/carers.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental development.
- Participate in CPD and stay up to date with curriculum changes.
- Always uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards.
The successful educator will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on the path to gaining it.
- A degree in Biology or a closely related subject.
- Strong knowledge of the GCSE and A Level Biology curriculum.
- The ability to inspire and engage students across a range of abilities.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- A commitment to student progress and well-being.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
