PE Teacher – Girls’ PE Required ASAP

Location: Stockport / South Manchester
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term
Pay: (MPS/UPS)

We are recruiting a qualified Female PE Teacher to join a large secondary school in the Stockport area. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering girls’ Physical Education across KS3 and KS4, supporting GCSE coursework, and promoting an inclusive and active culture within the school.

Role Duties:

  • Teach girls’ PE across a range of activities including netball, football, fitness, athletics, and dance.

  • Organise and lead extracurricular sports clubs and inter-school competitions.

  • Assess and monitor pupils' progress in both practical and theoretical elements.

  • Encourage participation and promote the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and resilience.

  • Work collaboratively within a well-established PE department.

Candidate Requirements:

  • QTS or QTLS status (PE specialism preferred).

  • Experience teaching PE at secondary level (placement or post-QTS).

  • Passionate about encouraging active lifestyles and pupil engagement in sport.

  • Ability to deliver theory-based content for GCSE PE is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
