Drama & Performing Arts Teacher – Creative Department

Location: Manchester / South Manchester
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term
Pay:£(MPS/UPS)

We are currently supporting a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Manchester in their search for a qualified Drama and Performing Arts Teacher to join their expressive arts department from September. The role is full-time and will involve teaching Drama at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with opportunities to contribute to whole-school performances and extracurricular projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Drama lessons aligned with the national curriculum and GCSE specifications.

  • Promote creativity, teamwork, and self-confidence through performance-based learning.

  • Prepare students for school productions, performances, and practical assessments.

  • Contribute to department planning, assessment, and moderation activities.

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support academic and personal development.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS or QTLS with a specialism in Drama or Performing Arts.

  • Have experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Drama (AQA or Edexcel experience beneficial).

  • Be passionate about inclusive education and enthusiastic about the arts.

  • Be confident managing a range of student needs and abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
