Behaviour support specialist position available in specialist behaviour school based in Croydon and Wandsworth.
A school for primary and secondary aged students with various emotional and behavioural difficulties are looking for support staff to join their team in February 2020.
Can you work with youths who are having a difficult time at home or come from a disadvantaged background and help them to do the best they can at school?
All students at this school have been excluded from mainstream school due to their behavioural needs, so you must be confident in behaviour management and have a positive way of engaging with challenging young people.
The role:
- Provide mainly 1:1 support in a mixture of academic lessons
- Act as a mentor and positive role model at all times
- Encourage students to make the right choices and, where appropriate, assist students with re-integrating back into mainstream education
- Full time, long term position where you will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent role if you like the school
Benefits:
- Daily pay rates between GBP65 and GBP85 per day, dependent on experience
- Work during term time only
- Hours are 08:20am – 04:00pm, Monday – Friday
- You will be invited to take part in all whole school training sessions
