Behaviour Support Mentor - Tameside
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Tameside who are looking to recruit a Behaviour Support Mentor on a full-time basis from September.
The ideal candidate for the role of Behaviour Support Mentor will be dedicated, patient and be confident in dealing with challenging behaviour, with experience from roles such as youth work, social care and sports coaching.
Role and Responsibilities of a Behaviour Support Mentor:
- Engaging pupils with challenging behaviour - working in small groups and 1:1
- Delivering tailored learning activities with these pupils to raise attainment in core subjects
- Supporting the class teacher with behaviour management in lessons
- Act as a positive learning mentor for these pupils
- Full-time hours - flexible days to work around you (e.g. 3 or 5 days)
- Earn £200 - £300 per week, paid weekly.
- Educated to degree level or have extensive experience in the field
- Great experience if you are considering a career in teaching
The secondary school located in Tameside requiring a Behaviour Support Mentor is looking to provide intervention to identified pupils from the start of a new academic year. The majority of the support will be given to transiting year 7 pupils who are starting with the secondary school from September who have Education Health Care Plans in place. Your role as Behaviour Support Mentor will be vital in ensuring disadvantaged pupils have the chance to reach their full potential in their studies with your additional support.
