Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Do you have experience supporting young people who display challenging behaviour?

Would you be interested in a Behaviour Support role?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a 'Good' Ofsted graded Secondary Academy in Salford, aiding them in recruiting a new Behaviour Support worker to join their dynamic staff team for the new academic year. Due to a proposed increase in pupils with behavioural difficulties, our client school is looking to ensure all classrooms have the correct support staff they require.

In order to be shortlisted for this role, you must have relevant or transferrable experience to work with young people who can display challenging or disruptive behaviour. Many pupils display specific behavioural difficulties such as Autism and ADHD and therefore, any relevant experiences particular to this area are desirable.

If the above role is of interest to you, please see further information below:

  • Full-time Behaviour Support role available from October 2019 until the end of the academic year.
  • Possibility of a permanent contract depending on success.
  • Support pupils aged 11-16 who display behavioural difficulties.
  • Opportunity to work in a 'Good' Ofsted graded Secondary Academy.
  • As a result of specific behavioural difficulties, many students will require guidance in a range of subjects such as Maths and English.
  • Support children in small groups within a classroom or occasionally on a one-to-basis when withdrawn from mainstream classes.
  • Earn up to £300 per week, depending on previous experience.
  • Monitor specific pupils' progress and report these back to senior teachers.
  • Work alongside other Behaviour Support staff to ensure all students are supported.

Our client school is based near Salford and is easily accessible from surrounding areas such as Bury and Bolton via the M602 and A580, for candidates with their own transportation. For non-drivers, the school can be accessed via several transportation links from surrounding areas of Greater Manchester.

For immediate consideration please apply by sending a CV (highlighting your education and previous school based experience) to Megan Knight via the link below or by contacting the Manchester West Secondary Branch.
