Required at Oldham secondary school, experienced behaviour mentor to support a student at risk of exclusion and facilitating their learning during lessons and supporting individual learning away from their peers as and when needed.

- Pay scale dependant on previous experience

- Full time Behaviour mentor post, September 18 start

- Join supportive and welcoming Behaviour Team

- Ideally placed on tram line for non-drivers (direct routes from Manchester)

- Excellent experience for those looking to progress onto teacher training programmes

Our partner school is a large, oversubscribed secondary in Oldham, with excellent public transport links from Manchester, Rochdale and Tameside via bus and trams. The school currently has over 150 students enrol across 11-16 with the large majority of those from the local, diverse catchment area. In recent years, the school has regular achieved in line with the national average in terms of attainment and progress.

The school are looking for an experienced behaviour mentor to support a student who regularly displays challenging behaviour and causes disruption to their peers and their own learning and would like someone to help facilitate learning and deliver strategies to challenge the behaviour and ensure focussed learning still takes place. The incoming behaviour mentor will work under the SENCO and Behaviour Manager at the school, and will relay progress and feedback directly to them.

Due to the nature of this post as a behaviour mentor, applicants with previous experience working in a similar post will be desirable.
