Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Didsbury to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher for a full-time position starting in November 2026.

The Role

As the successful Year 1 Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils through an important stage of their educational journey. You will deliver engaging lessons, foster a positive learning environment, and help children develop both academically and personally.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that encourage curiosity and a love of learning
• Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
• Assessing, monitoring, and tracking pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Building strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and support staff to achieve the best outcomes for pupils
• Contributing to the wider life of the school and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills
• Has a genuine passion for primary education and pupil achievement
• Is committed to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Works effectively as part of a collaborative school team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
