Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Irlam to recruit a dedicated Year 1 Teacher for a full-time position starting in November 2026.

The Role

As the Year 1 Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning that inspires curiosity, builds confidence, and fosters a lifelong love of learning. You will work alongside colleagues and support staff to ensure all pupils are supported and challenged to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum
• Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
• Differentiate learning to support pupils of varying abilities
• Promote pupil wellbeing, confidence and personal development
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and its ongoing development

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
• Can engage and motivate pupils through creative and inspiring lessons
• Has a sound understanding of the National Curriculum
• Uses technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning
• Possesses excellent communication and organisational skills
• Brings enthusiasm, creativity and a genuine passion for education
