The Role
As the Year 1 Teacher, you will support pupils through a crucial stage of their education, helping them develop key skills and knowledge as they progress through Key Stage 1.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can succeed.
- Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress to support strong educational outcomes.
- Provide effective feedback to promote pupil development and achievement.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners within the classroom.
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations for all pupils.
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues, parents, carers, and support staff.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through events, initiatives, and enrichment activities.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Can plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is confident using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Takes a proactive, organised, and positive approach to education.
- Is committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with relevant Key Stage 1 placement experience are encouraged to apply.
