Behaviour Support Cwmbran - Teaching Assistant

I have been contacted this week by one of my partner schools based in the Cwmbran for a Teaching Assistant to support within the schools specialist behaviour provision. The role is usual school hours and pay is between £54 - £60 a day!

Often people see the words 'behaviour provision or behaviour unit' and assume that these will often be the most challenging pupils that will be disruptive from start to finish..This is not always the case, in fact this behaviour unit supports individuals that have social anxieties while working in large groups and provides support in a way that makes education accessible for all.

As a Teaching Assistant working within this behaviour unit you will provide support on a 1:1 basis to a young male that has strong interests in Gaming, The military and also sports. You will be required to build a strong bond with the pupil in order to provide the highest level of support, therefore if you share any of the interests above as well as having a positive and proactive manner then do not hesitate to get in touch today.

The ideal candidate for this role would be a graduate who has a desire to train as a teacher or pursue a career in an education setting in the near future. This position would suit an innovative and resilient person who has a true passion for SEN.

• Experience of working with Special Educational needs is desirable but not essential
• Confidence in working with students with challenging behaviour
• A passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning
• An understanding of how to establish positive working relationships
• Ability to be a patient and positive role model
• Available for work immediately
