Behaviour Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a client school based in Chorlton for a behaviour support assistant. The role is set to start after Easter, initially until the end of the academic year with potential to extend further.

With students having studied 10/18 months from home a large client school have contacted Teaching Personnel expressing the need for additional support to maintain behavioural standards following schools re opening.

You will be providing 1:1 behaviour support for a few students across lower school who have been outlined by the SENCO as exhibiting destructive behaviour and require concentrated support to ensure they reintegrate better into school life.

The students are all male and some exhibit signs of MLD and ADD, so any experience supporting young people would be beneficial. SEN TA experience is preferred but any experience supporting young people through youth work, sports coaching or care work is also significant. Psychology graduates hoping to build a career in education should also apply.

  • GBP1200-GBP1350 per month, depending on experience
  • Start date after Easter, with potential to extend to a permanent position

The role will be for immediate start, although it is subject to a DBS check, right to work UK authorisation so relevant documentation must be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
