Behavioural Support Assistant - Oldham

Full-time Behavioural Support Assistant required for additional support within a mainstream secondary school in Oldham - immediate start.

Are you experienced in the field of SEN and wish to utilise your skills and knowledge to support identified pupils in a mainstream Academy led secondary school?

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large, diverse secondary school in the Oldham area to provide extra support to SEN pupils in a classroom setting, often in small groups or on a 1:1 basis. The school has over 1400 pupils, many from diverse backgrounds and a significant number speaking English as an additional language (EAL). The school wish to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant to work alongside identified pupils and support the school in achieving a positive Progress 8 score.

The successful candidate will be experienced in working with SEN pupils and challenging behaviours in order to understand pupils' needs. Responsibilities will include the provision of extra support to pupils with classroom work to encourage higher attainment. The relevant support will also be given by the school if appointed.

  • Full time temporary Behavioural Support Assistant, immediate start until the end of the academic year initially
  • Supporting SEN pupils in small groups across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four
  • Earn up to £350 per week, dependant on experience.
  • Located in Oldham, accessible via the M60 motorway

Our partner secondary school is situated in Oldham, near to Broadway. For drivers, the school is accessible from neighbouring areas Rochdale, Middleton and central Manchester via the M60 motorway. For those who utilise public transport, there is a train station next to the school and an abundance of bus stops within walking distance.
