Teaching Personnel are continuing to work closely with a client primary school in Salford. This large primary school in the heart of Salford, expect a number of children to return to school in September with Social and Emotional needs(challenging behaviours, violence and aggression) after such a long time away from full time education so are looking for teaching assistants with experience to help these pupils settle back into school life.

This primary school has outstanding facilities, as an behaviour specialist teaching assistant you would be joining a well thought of phase within the school. They would be able to offer you focused support with the SENCO and the learning plans for the child will be clearly laid out. Having experience of working with behavioural needs and SEN is important as you would be expected to work on a 1:1and small groups basis with these children.

The Role:

• SEMH – Challenging behaviours, violence and aggression.

• Withdrawal work when necessary

• Some communication issues leading to behaviour

• Full time – September Start

The Person:

• Experience of working with Challenging behaviours – Children or Young People

• Comfortable with challenging behaviours

• Able to communicate with children with little speaking ability

• Communication through visual aids

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
