Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant position available in Scarborough from January 2020

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a number of SEN Departments, SEN Schools and Alternative Provisions, who are seeking to appiont a number of Behaviour Mentors for full time and part time positions, starting in January 2020. As the ideal applicant, you should be experienced support students with attachment disorders and behavioural difficulties. Ideally you will have worked on a 1:1 basis, however this is not essential. If successful, you may be required to undergo a Team Teach course in York or Scarborough. 

Teaching Personnel would also welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills, such as:

  • Ex-Military
  • Sports Coaches
  • Youth Workers
  • Support Workers
  • Care Assistants

Minimum Requirements:

  • 6 months supporting those with additional needs, either in a voluntary or paid capacity
  • Able to work independantly and manage behaviour effectibely
  • The willingness to undergo Team Teach training
  • Be enthusiastic, passionate and patient
