SEN/SEMH behaviour mentor needed for primary school based in the Radcliffe, Bury (M26) area

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a primary school based in Bury (M26) looking for a teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child with ADHD. The child is in Year 6 and needs support in the classroom.
The child's behaviour can become severely challenging and so the ideal candidate will have previous experience working with pupils with Social Emotional Mental Health needs. The role will last for the full academic year and will mainly involve building a relationship with the pupil to affect change in the child's life.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous SEN or SEMH experience
- Good knowledge of the KS2 national curriculum
- Team Teach training is desirable but not essential
- Experience utilising SEN and behavioural strategies for structured learning
This will be a challenging role and the right candidate will need to be resilient and practitioner to be able to connect with the child. However, if you have the skills required for the role, this could be an extremely awarding position where you will have the opportunity to really change the life of a pupil.
