Do you have a passion for supporting vulnerable children and helping to give them the best start to their education? Are you resilient, commuted and experienced in working with children from difficult backgrounds or who display challenging behaviour?

We work with primary schools across Cornwall but are increasingly busy within the Falmouth area. We are recruiting for between 3 - 4 NEW behaviour mentors to join our team of support staff. You will work full-time within specific primary schools across the area for the Summer term, to support children who display challenging behaviour. You will have access to Team Teach training but experience with verbal and physical de-escalation and manual handling would be desired. You will be an intergral part of the SEN support staffing team and form close and trusting relationships with the pupils who need it the most. You will be a friendly face and a calming and nurturing adult who children can seek out for support and guidance. You will be required to work from 8:30am to 3pm Monday to Friday, term time only. 

These roles will be flexible and various placements across several schools will be available. 

The ideal applicants will have some form of experience supporting children with additional needs, whether that be in a classroom setting or care setting. Experience supporting young adults and teenagers is also very relevant so please do not hesitate in applying if you think you have transferable skills. We really value our candidates and will support you in finding your ideal position for the Summer term 2020 or from September.
