In this role be working closely with students who have ADHD, ASD, Emotional and behavioural Issues. You’ll help be working build the student’s confidence and support their social, emotional, and academic growth making a real difference in their school experience. You’ll work closely with the SENCO and class teachers to make sure the support you provide is personalised, consistent, and truly helpful for the student.
Key Responsibilites:

Provide consistent, one-to-one support that helps a student with SEN engage in learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential each day.

Design and support meaningful, personalised learning experiences that reflect the student’s individual strengths, interests, and developmental stage.

Promote communication, emotional wellbeing, and self-expression by using supportive strategies that help the student feel understood, regulated, and secure.

Encourage independence and positive behaviour through clear guidance, reassurance, and celebration of progress at every step.

Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to implement tailored support plans and deliver high-quality provision.

Monitor, record, and share the student’s progress, contributing to reviews and evidence linked to EHCP outcomes and personal targets.

Support the creation of a warm, inclusive learning environment where the student feels respected, supported, and empowered to thrive.
About You

You’re naturally caring and patient, with a calm, reassuring presence that helps children feel safe, valued, and understood.

You bring positivity, creativity, and enthusiasm into the classroom, helping to create an encouraging and motivating learning environment.

You’re flexible and intuitive, able to adapt quickly and respond thoughtfully to a child’s changing needs.

You communicate clearly and warmly, building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

You’re keen to learn and develop, open to new approaches, training, and strategies that strengthen your practice.

You have experience working with children with SEN — or a strong passion for supporting them — and are committed to helping pupils succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

You have experience supporting children with ADHD, ASD, behavioural needs, or similar. Relevant experience should be clearly outlined on your CV.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
